Position Overview:
As an HR Generalist with 5 years of experience, you will play a crucial role in supporting the HR department's daily operations and ensuring effective management of HR functions. You will be responsible for implementing HR policies and programs, providing guidance to employees and management, managing HR-related projects, and fostering a positive work environment. This position reports directly to the HR Manager.
Responsibilities:
Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employees and management to address inquiries, concerns, and issues related to HR policies, benefits, and general employment matters. Promote a positive work culture and ensure a healthy employee-employer relationship.
Recruitment and Onboarding: Collaborate with hiring managers to create job descriptions, post job openings, conduct candidate screenings, and coordinate the interview process. Facilitate smooth onboarding for new hires, including orientation and necessary paperwork.
HR Policies and Procedures: Ensure compliance with company policies and local employment laws. Regularly review and update HR policies, employee handbooks, and other relevant documents.
Performance Management: Support the performance appraisal process, providing guidance to managers and employees on goal setting, feedback, and performance improvement plans.
Training and Development: Identify training needs within the organization and coordinate employee development programs. Work with managers to provide training and coaching to enhance employee skills and performance.
Benefits Administration: Oversee employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits. Assist employees with benefit enrollment, changes, and issue resolution.
HR Reporting and Analytics: Generate HR metrics and reports, analyzing data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement. Use data-driven insights to enhance HR strategies.
Compliance and Legal Matters: Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations. Keep abreast of changes in employment laws and update company policies accordingly.
Employee Engagement and Retention: Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention, including recognition programs, team-building activities, and employee surveys.
Conflict Resolution: Mediate and resolve employee conflicts, addressing workplace issues in a fair and impartial manner.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with a strong emphasis on employee relations, recruitment, and HR operations.
Knowledge: Thorough understanding of employment laws, HR best practices, and industry trends.
Communication Skills: Excellent English verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrated ability to build relationships, handle sensitive situations with tact and confidentiality, and work collaboratively in a team environment.
Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Technology: Proficiency in HR software, MS Office Suite, and other relevant tools.
